Act on Nature Conservation

Key Information
The law will contribute to protecting the country's nature and environment, so that society can develop on a sustainable basis respecting human conditions of life and the preservation of animal and plant life. The law's special purpose is (1) to protect the countryside with its population of wild animals and plants and their habitats and landscape, cultural, scientific and educational values, (2) improve, restore or provide areas that are important for wildlife and landscape and cultural interests, and (3) to give the population access to move and reside in the wild, and improve opportunities for outdoor recreation.
Regulate the protection of nature and the environment.
