Description:
Indonesia has decided on the policy to reduce carbon emission from deforestation and degradation. The document sets rules with regard to demonstration activities of reduction of emission from deforestation and degradation by testing and developing methodology, technology and implementing sustainable forest management aimed to reduce carbon emissions. The Ministry of Forestry shall appoint a Working Group on Climate Change in the Department of Forestry in order to assess feasibility of such activities. Interested parties shall submit applications which approval is required based on plan of demonstration activities (location maps of proposed areas, estimated costs, risk management and plan of revenue distribution allocation). The objective of implementation of demonstration activities of reduction of emission from deforestation and degradation is to obtain forest management design related to reduction of carbon emission from deforestation and degradation.
