Description: 
Nine countriesin the Black Sea region and southeast Europe agreed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in power plants and oil refineries by 2027, according to Reuters Point Carbon. Energy ministers from Albania, Bosnia, Georgia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, Moldavia, Serbia and Ukraine meeting in Belgrade for the Energy Community’s ministerial council, opted for improving the efficiency of their mostly coal-reliant power generating capacities to intensify energy market cooperation with the EU. Governments’ officials have not disclosed which procedures countries will undertake to meet their targets so far. Only Serbian Energy Minister announced a gradual reduction of sulphur, dust and nitrogen emissions in power plants and oil refineries to begin in 2018.
