Description:
Household Food Waste regulations are introduced to require separate collection of such material, supporting its diversion from landfill to more productive uses. Separate collection of organics will be a required waste permit condition for those collecting from households within population centres of a given size and will be introduced on a phased basis over a 4 year period (starting in 2013), beginning with larger population centres.
